Captain Dalton Heryford

Since a young age Dalton has lived for being in the outdoors, and becoming a hunting and fishing guide was an easy choice.  Growing up in the Sacramento Valley opened many doors for outdoor experiences, and from these, many valuable lessons were learned from trial and error. What started as a seasonal job during college, later became a full time operation and business "Sac Valley Fish & Fowl Guide Service". This business would not have been possible without the coaching and mentoring from local fishing guide, and uncle, Raith Heryford of RH Guide Service. He taught there is the right way of doing business while conserving the beauties of our wildlife and waterways, and we will always strive to perfect those means of doing business.   

The main goal of any guided trip whether it be hunting or fishing is to provide a professional experience that is also both safe and successful. From an individual catching their first fish or calling in limits of waterfowl for a group of veteran hunters, Dalton strives to achieve the day's goal and then some. When there's no other job you would rather have, it no longer feels like work

Dalton is a licensed, bonded, and insured Captain through the United States Coast Guard and California Department of Fish and Wildlife to ensure your safety at all times.
